Mechanical Assembly Technician

Bausch Advanced Technologies Inc., a Global Leader in the pharmaceutical packaging machinery industry has an opening for a Mechanical Assembly Technician for custom machine manufacturing in our expanding Clinton CT facility. The Mechanical Assembly/Service Technician is responsible for assembly and service of pharmaceutical packaging machines including troubleshooting, installation, and startup of the equipment.
  • Machine assembly
  • Equipment troubleshooting
  • Rebuild and modify existing machinery
  • Field Service of existing equipment at the customer sites
  • Assist with functional testing and equipment checkout
  • Support customer service department
  • Close cooperation with respective design and electrical engineers
  • Phone service and on-site trouble shooting and repair
  • Maintain equipment and work area in a clean and orderly manner
  • Follow prescribed and standard safety
  • Identify and coordinate parts required for repair with customer and service department
  • Travel to customer sites, complete drug alcohol safety testing, conduct repairs under sterile conditions using aseptic technique
  • Suggest, recommend spare parts, corrective actions and provide written service call reports to service department and customers
  • Perform other and related duties as assigned, directed or within the scope of overall responsibilities

Preferred Qualifications:

 Advanced mechanical and pneumatic skills

  • Engineering experience is helpful
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, schematics and machine specifications
  • Ability to creatively and independently troubleshoot and solve technical problems
  • Proficiency with PC, Microsoft Word, Excel,
  • Experience with Solid works or CAD 2D and 3D is a plus

 

The applicant must be willing to travel, have 2 years of experience in assembly of machinery and excellent communication skills.
