Must be able to turn raw material with supplied print into a finished part without supervision and in a timely manner that is consistent with established timelines. This includes writing the cnc programs required, setting up and running the part.
Must be familiar with and comfortable working with the metric system of measurement.
Must be fluent in G and M codes as they pertain to vertical cnc machining centers.
Must be well versed with writing two-dimensional tool path programs at machine controller and Mastercam.
Must be skilled at using metrology equipment such as calipers, micrometers and gauge blocks.
Must have a solid understanding of part geometry such as flatness, square, parallelism etc. and the ability to achieve that in the part.
Must be skilled at use of carbide and HSS cutting tools as well as setting proper speeds and feeds.
Must always wear safety glasses and work safely.
Must be punctual, reliable and hardworking during full duration of employment.
Must respect superiors and work well with others in the department and company.
